DmC was a pretty alright game, people got super butthurt that they lost “muh wacky dante”. the music and bossfights were actually pretty good. easy but good nonetheless. i really enjoyed the artstyle too how things on the ground in limbo would spike toward dante. gave the map a malicious feel which in context fit it really well.

People dislike it because it turned easily one of the deepest combat systems in videogames into a generic hack and slash title with social commentary and fanfiction writing.
And people hate Donte because they didn’t go through with the actual character that was meant to come out with the reboot, but instead they tried to meet the fans’ expectations and we got this clusterfuck of a character that ended up becoming a teenager’s idea of cool. Censorship is the supression of information, but Valve hasn’t supressed anything. They have chosen not to sell a game. If they wanted to censor it they would have to stop it being sold from all places.
